Local performers are encouraged to apply to Arts in the Park this year for a special radio edition of this popular Yukon feature.
Music Yukon and CJUC Whitehorse Community Radio are joining together to make the Arts in the Park 2020 season possible. Solo or duo acts are welcome to apply to take part in the radio broadcast edition of Arts in the Park!
If interested, please send an e-mail including the following information to artsinthepark@musicyukon.com:
Band name or artist name in the subject line of the e-mail message
- A Brief bio
- One photo
- A Brief description of your radio-performance
- A video or audio sample of your work
- Technical requirements (stage plot)
- And your selection of two preferable dates to perform between July 6th & 31st
Noon shows will be Monday to Friday from 12pm to 1pm, Wednesdays Evening Shows will be 7 to 8pm. Evening radio shows are geared towards emerging and youth based artistic projects.
Payment for a solo act is $400 and for a duo it's $800. The deadline for applications is May 28, 2020. Applications may be accepted after the deadline but will only be considered for those dates unfilled.
Please note that due to unpredictable circumstances surrounding COVID-19 and related restrictions, this initiative may be cancelled or modified at any time.
