The Yukon government says they've fixed an error published online which stated that a certain number of Yukon students didn't complete education assessments in recent years.
The Yukon government has corrected historical student performance data that was found in 2017-2018 assessment files.
At least one error was prevalent in the data, which indicated that a certain number of Yukon grade 4-7 students did not take reading, writing and numerical assessments in school.
After the data was presented, Minister of Education Tracy-Anne McPhee says the data was incorrectly published on the Yukon Government Education webpage and was provided to the Council of Yukon First Nations and Office of the Auditor General of Canada for reporting.
The assessment have historically been issued by the BC Ministry of Education and is typically written by students in the Yukon.
McPhee says the problem was fixed in June in collaboration with the the BC education branch.
